Tawny Evans McCleon, PhD, NCSP

Dr. McCleon has over 15 years working in academia. Her research interests include crisis prevention and intervention, school violence, emotional disabilities and trauma-informed cares. Dr. McCleon has served twice as the President of the Mississippi Association for Psychology in the Schools. She is a champion for expanding mental health services for youth and adolescents in the school setting. Dr. McCleon has over 20 years of experience practicing in the fields of education and mental health (combined) and consulting with the state and local educational agencies in the areas of emotional disorders, trauma-informed care, social-emotional learning, response-to invention (RtI) and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS).

I enjoy mentoring young professionals, spending time with family and friends and learning about history.
